The Applied Associates of Science in Professional Pilot prepares students to enter the workforce as a commercial pilot. Students receive specific training under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) 14 CFR Part 141 and Restricted Air Transport Pilot (R-ATP) regulations to qualify for specialized employment requirements. Delivery focuses on technical training and applied exercises providing the knowledge and skills required for several licenses and ratings. <h2>Matriculation Requirements </h2> <p><span>Students seeking admission to the program will be required to meet the following admissions requirements:</span></p> <ol> <li>Hold a second class FAA medical certificate from an Aviation Medical Examiner.</li> <li>An overall GPA of at least 2.5</li> </ol> <p>Due to limited availability of flight training resources, flight student admission into the on-campus <span class="sc_courseinline"><span class="code_bubble" data-code-bubble="AVSC 1100">AVSC 1100</span> Ground I - Private </span> and <span class="sc_courseinline"><span class="code_bubble" data-code-bubble="AVSC 1110">AVSC 1110</span> Flight I - Private</span> course, when necessary, may require selection through a competitive application process. </p>
